Our Process
A disciplined process, tailored to each client
No two clients are alike, but every relationship follows the same disciplined framework. Understanding your objectives comes before recommendations, planning comes before implementation, and investment decisions are guided by a documented process rather than changing market conditions.
Stage 1 of 5
Discovery
Every advisory relationship begins with understanding your circumstances. We discuss your financial goals, current assets, investment experience, time horizon, tax considerations, liquidity needs, and tolerance for risk. Before offering advice, we believe it is important to understand not only your balance sheet, but the objectives your wealth is intended to support.
Stage 2 of 5
Planning
Information gathered during discovery becomes the foundation for a written investment strategy. Together, we establish appropriate objectives, asset allocation, portfolio guidelines, and any constraints unique to your circumstances. Investment recommendations are made within a documented framework rather than in isolation.
Stage 3 of 5
Implementation
Once a strategy has been agreed upon, portfolios are implemented thoughtfully and efficiently. Existing holdings are reviewed, transitions are planned with attention to taxes and costs where appropriate, and investments are selected to reflect the objectives established during the planning process.
Stage 4 of 5
Ongoing Management
Investment management continues long after a portfolio is established. We monitor portfolios, review allocations, evaluate investment performance, and rebalance when appropriate. Recommendations evolve as markets change and, more importantly, as your own financial circumstances evolve.
Stage 5 of 5
Long-Term Relationship
Financial planning is not a one-time exercise. As your goals, family, career, or retirement plans change, your investment strategy should evolve with them. We view the advisory relationship as an ongoing partnership built on regular communication, thoughtful guidance, and long-term continuity.
